A Brief Note About Mr. Viresh Pratap Chaudhry
Shri Viresh Pratap Chaudhry (aged 62 years) is the son of late Shri Des Raj Chaudhry, who was a Freedom Fighter and an illustrious public figure of Delhi. Shri Chaudhry has been in the legal profession for the last more than 38 years. He is a Sr. Advocate practicing in the High Court of Delhi. He excels in his profession and has maintained highest standards of professional conduct. His integrity is beyond reproach. However, it is his remarkable missionary zeal and outstanding contribution in the field of social service that makes him doubly worthy of recognition at the National level. He has been actively involved and intimately associated for the last about 4 decades with several institutions looking after the care, upbringing and education of hundreds of orphan boys & girls. For the last 17 years, he is the pivot of these institutions managing and administering them with conspicuous ability and paving the way of their continous growth, expansion and development. He is the President of the Apex body known as the Arya Orphanage. Arya Orphanage has deveoped two big complexes under his dynamic leadershiop-one is in Pataudi House, Darya Ganj and the other is Der Raj Campus in East of Kailash, New Delhi. Due to his untiring, relentless and self-less efforts, and his exceptional organising skills, Arya Orphanage has grown into a tree and the orphanage and its sister institution have established themselves as the premier institutions of the Capital for the welfare of orphan and destitute boys & girls.
The credit for all these achievements goes in full measure to Shri V.P. Chaudhry. It is indeed amazing but nevertheless true that despite his pressing professional and other commitments, he devotes several hours everyday to monitor the work of the institutions. Settling daily menu, checking diaries of wardens and supervisory staff, monitoring health care of inmates and their academic performance, keeping a close watch on accounts, devising ways and means to get more donations, arranging grants from government bodies, supervising construction activity, maintenance of building and eco-friendly environment, providing free legal aid wherever required, implementing various projects like computer course, bakery course, music, Kathak dance, ITI training, nursing course for inmates, dealing with various government bodies like MCD, NDMC, DVB and the state government. These are just some of the many matters that engage his attention. He regularly visits the two complexes and spends considerable time there. His devotion, foresight and vision enables these institutions to continously march forward and establish new milestones.
Shri Chaudhry is very modest and avoids publicity. However, befitting recognition to him at the National level would be a source of abiding inspiration for others.
